PulseUp Challenges
PulseUp Challenges are time-limited, community-wide fitness goals — based on completed workouts, a daily streak, cardio minutes, or distance — that reward a bonus XP when completed.
What are PulseUp Challenges?
A Challenge on PulseUp is a public, time-boxed goal running between a start and end date. Every challenge is shared community-wide — the app shows how many athletes are participating — while each athlete tracks their own individual progress toward the same goal.
When a challenge is completed, the athlete earns a bonus XP reward and a badge tied to that challenge.
How it works
PulseUp currently runs four kinds of challenges: completing workouts (tracked across distinct training days), a consecutive-day activity streak, total cardio minutes, and total distance covered (shown in kilometers).
Streak-based challenges are joined automatically — everyone is participating from the start. The other types (workout-based, cardio-time-based, and distance-based) require an athlete to explicitly join before their progress starts counting.
As an athlete trains, their progress toward the challenge's goal updates automatically from their logged workouts and cardio sessions — there's no separate step to "log" progress toward a challenge.
Who this is for
Any athlete on PulseUp. Challenges are public and open to the whole community, not limited to a Crew or a coach's roster — anyone can see how many people are participating and join in.
